About the Program: Fox's Trails: Emigration Adaptation
Fox’s Trails is a psychoeducational and coaching-based program designed to support individuals navigating migration, relocation, or major life transitions. Grounded in Adlerian psychology, narrative coaching, and cross-cultural adaptation theory, the program addresses the emotional and cognitive processes involved in finding stability and meaning in a new environment.
The course integrates the stress–adaptation–growth model (Young Yun Kim, 2001) and focuses on developing resilience, self-awareness, and intercultural competence.
Participants learn to recognize and normalize the emotional phases of transition — from initial euphoria and disorientation to gradual reorientation and a sense of belonging — while building practical tools for integration and well-being.
Methodologically, the program draws on reflective dialogue, metaphor, and experiential learning. Through structured reflection, storytelling, and mindfulness practices, participants reconstruct their personal narratives and strengthen their sense of agency.
Each session follows evidence-based learning design principles, including Gagné’s Nine Events of Instruction and Bloom’s Taxonomy, ensuring a balance between insight, application, and emotional safety. The facilitation process incorporates elements of trauma-informed care and intercultural sensitivity, fostering a psychologically safe group environment.
Fox’s Trails is intended for immigrants, expatriates, and anyone experiencing the tension between continuity and change. It offers a framework not only for adaptation but also for personal growth, identity integration, and the rediscovery of belonging in a new cultural landscape.
