When I was young I’ve met a little fairy

Who hid among the flowers by the creek.

She was so wondrous, so tender and so merry!

She shrilly laughed and patted me on cheek.

Her lips were crimson like a juicy berry,

Her hair was so shiny and so sleek!

I was embarrassed and could barely speak

I’ve never thought the beauty was so airy.

She told me she loved playing hide-and-seek -

And suddenly she disappeared in glen.

I bet, I have been waiting for a week!

But I have never seen the little cheat again.

Since then I have become so wary

I would not trust a little naughty fairy!
